In a vibrant celebration of education and digital transformation, the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and the Unified Student Financial Assistance System for Tertiary Education (UniFAST) awarded thousands of scholarships to deserving Filipino students at the Cuneta Astrodome. The event also marked the official launch of the Electronic Certification, Authentication, and Verification (E-CAV) system—a groundbreaking digital platform designed to streamline access to academic records.

Adding a personal touch to the occasion, President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. graced the ceremony, which coincided with his upcoming birthday. His presence underscored the administration’s commitment to expanding educational opportunities and modernizing government services. “Our assistance to our students proves that the returns are immeasurable when the government invests in people,” President Marcos declared during his keynote address A. “When we strengthen education, we also strengthen our workforce and forge a better future for our economy, for our country.”

The UniFAST program, established under Republic Act No. 10687, consolidates and enhances various government-funded student financial assistance schemes. It ensures that qualified students from public and CHED-recognized institutions receive support for tuition and other educational expenses. President Marcos called on Congress and local government units to help broaden the program’s reach, emphasizing the need for clear guidelines and widespread awareness.

Meanwhile, the launch of the E-CAV system marks a significant leap toward digital governance. Students can now access authenticated copies of their diplomas, transcripts, and certificates online—complete with real-time tracking, secure payments, and downloadable documents. This innovation is expected to reduce processing times and eliminate barriers to employment and further education.
Supporting the smooth execution of the event and program rollout was Post Ad Ventures, whose expertise in event management and logistics helped ensure a seamless experience for all participants.
The event was not only a policy milestone but also a celebration of hope and progress. With thousands of students empowered to pursue their dreams and a new digital infrastructure in place, the Philippines takes a confident step forward in building a more inclusive and competitive future.
